My Story
For as long as I can remember, I’ve enjoyed solving problems and helping people.
Throughout my life, that desire to serve has taken many forms—from volunteering as a firefighter to serving in the SC Army National Guard, to building homes with Habitat for Humanity. Those experiences taught me the value of showing up, following through, and earning people’s trust.
Professionally, I’ve spent years working in finance while building and managing my own real estate investments. Over the last decade, I’ve owned and managed both short-term and long-term rental properties, learning firsthand what it takes to properly care for a home and provide an excellent experience for guests and tenants.
Why I Started Palmetto Home Steward
Like many homeowners, I realized there are dozens of maintenance tasks that are easy to postpone. Changing filters. Flushing a water heater. Cleaning a dryer vent. Checking smoke detectors. Cleaning gutters.
Individually, none of these jobs are difficult, but collectively they’re easy to forget until something goes wrong.
Property Management Experience
Owning rental property has given me a unique perspective.
For more than ten years, I’ve personally managed both short-term and long-term rentals. I’ve experienced everything from guest communication and turnovers to maintenance coordination, vendor management, and protecting the long-term value of an investment.
That experience allows me to offer property management services from an owner’s perspective. Not simply as someone following a checklist, but as someone who understands the challenges, responsibilities, and expectations that come with owning rental property.
